Fortunately, you can switch it on and off at Netflix: the previews when you are on a movie or series in the main menu. Something starts to play aloud and not many people are waiting for that. YouTube isn’t so sure and is now testing video previews with sound on Android TV.

Once you’ve snuggled up on the couch and turned on your Android TV with the YouTube app, you could be in for the fright of your life. If your volume is turned up, then -if you don’t make a choice fast enough- the content will already start playing. You will then receive a preview of the film or series to help you decide what to watch. It is still a test.
If you want to prevent it at all costs, you must have made your choice within three seconds, 9to5Google writes. Don’t like it at all? Then luckily you can turn it off. You go to the YouTube settings at the bottom, where it says ‘Previews with sound’ (in Dutch probably previews with sound).

How You Turn It Off
You can change a slider there to allow or disallow it. When you turn it off, you get to see a preview again in a few silent pictures, instead of a loudly babbling video (which, by the way, gets quieter and stops after a while). Still, there are probably many people who think it’s a good addition: after all, it does make it easier for you to get an idea of what you can see. Especially if your volume is not too loud, it can also be done quietly.
