Do you remember that Apple previously gave a recall plan for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models that have sound problems when making or receiving calls? Now the scope of this recall plan is expanding. An unknown number of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models sold in the United Arab Emirates have been recalled by Apple due to an audio component problem.

According to a local publication Khaleej Times, Apple has recalled iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro in the UAE -but not iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max in particular. According to the details officially announced by Apple, the model in question covers the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices produced between October 2020 and April 2021.

Apple said that due to a possible failure of a component on the receiver module, a very small percentage of iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models may have sound problems. The affected device will not emit sound from the receiver when making or receiving calls.

Obviously, the above-mentioned problem is aimed at global users, and Apple China’s official response is the first time that if the recruited users can go to Apple and its authorized service providers, they will provide free maintenance services for qualified equipment.

Affected people can take their iPhone 12 or 12 Pro devices to Apple or Apple’s authorized service provider to receive free services. As usual, the equipment will be inspected before service, and customers may be required to pay for repairs that prevent the completion of audio repairs.

The plan covers affected iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices within two years after the first retail. Apple pointed out that other iPhone models including iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are not within the scope of the plan.
