WhatsApp: Stickers are now created (from the web), here’s how

What would WhatsApp be without the stickers? Probably the same popular messaging app, just a little sadder (or a little more readable, depending on your point of view). Developers have long introduced support for stickers, but haven’t yet given users the ability to create them themselves without third-party apps. Something seems to have changed since the web version of WhatsApp: it has begun to include the function to create stickers from images stored on the user’s device.

FOR NOW ONLY FROM WHATSAPP WEB

We cannot yet speak of a possible extension to all users and all platforms but it is a start. More specifically, at the moment the creation of WhatsApp stickers can only be done via WhatsApp web, not via smartphone client. Probably the function will also be extended to the mobile app in the future, but it is not possible to predict the timing. To create your own personalized stickers you must first :

HOW DOES IT WORK

If the operations have been carried out correctly and the option has been activated on the server-side in your account, by accessing WhatsApp Web and clicking on the smiley icon (it is the one that allows you to access the sticker selection section), as the first option the “create” button will be proposed. Clicking it will open an editor that will allow you to choose the starting image, crop it, add text and even other stickers. Once the editing phase is complete, the sticker is ready to be sent and will be shown in the “recent” stickers section.

If you want to continue reusing the sticker also via the mobile app, simply retrieve the conversation in which it was sent – the conversations are synchronized between the web and the mobile app – tap on the image and select “Add to favorites “. At that point, the stickers created in person can also be reused from smartphones, again via the recent stickers section (the icon with the star).
