In September this year, Samsung launched the first mobile image sensor ISOCELL HP1 that supports 200MP, based on Samsung’s 0.64μm technology. Yesterday evening, a digital blogger broke the news via social media that Motorola will launch Samsung’s 200MP sensor for the first time; Xiaomi will adopt it in the second half of next year; Samsung will not adopt a 200Mp camera until 2023.
200MP camera will be adopted by Moto first, then by Xiaomi in the second half of next year, and by 2023, Samsung will adopt 200MP.

In order to pursue low-light shooting effects, ISOCELL HP1 uses the new ChameleonCell technology. As a pixel synthesis technology, it can adopt 4×4, 2×2 or full pixel mode according to the usage environment. In a poor light environment, ISOCELL HP1 merges 16 adjacent pixels into a 12.5Mp image sensor with 2.56μm large pixels. The resultant 2.56μm large pixels can absorb more light and have higher sensitivity.

In addition, ISOCELL HP1 can also shoot 8K video at 30 frames per second (fps), which can reduce the resolution to 50Mp or 8192×6144 by merging 4 adjacent pixels to shoot 8K (7680×4320) video without cropping Or reduce the full image resolution.
