In an interview with Polish media Rzeczpopolita, CD Projekt President Adam Kiciński talked about the studio’s ambitions for Cyberpunk 2077. Although the game is lower than expected in many key features, Kiciński insisted that this work will continue to be released for many years, and as developers continue to improve the game, especially better hardware and technology will gradually come in the long run. The work will eventually be regarded as a good game.
Kiciński said: Cyberpunk 2077 is the largest, most ambitious, and most complex project in our 27-year history. A new Witcher did it.

Kiciński continued to add: In any case, the cyberpunk brand we have worked hard to build is still very well-known. The game world, characters and details are favored by fans all over the world. We believe that in the long run, Cyberpunk 2077 will be regarded as a very good game, just like our other games, its sales will continue for several years-especially when the hardware will be more efficient and the game will continue to be improved by us.
Kiciński also reiterated that the native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. The 1.5 patches of this game will also be updated in the same time window, Kiciński said that there will be no more update plans in 2021. The PS5 and Xbox SeriesX/S versions of The Witcher 3 are also planned to be launched in 2022.
