During the presentation of Google Stadia just over two years ago, the Mountain View giant had attracted the attention of numerous streamers due to the possibility of direct streaming on YouTube without using alternative software. Several months later, several users are noticing the possibility of starting direct streaming on YouTube at 4K resolution via Google Stadia, obviously without external software.
4K direct streaming is coming to YouTube
From the first information published on the net , it seems that the functionality is linked to the game started on the Google platform: if, in fact, the game supports 4K resolution at 60 FPS with HDR, then the streaming will automatically be played on YouTube at the same resolution; otherwise, the streaming will automatically limit itself to the maximum resolution supported by the game being played.

Several users showed an example of 4K playback on YouTube with Red Dead Redempion 2, while another user saw streaming maxing out at 1440p resolution at 60 FPS. It is not yet clear when Google will decide to extend YouTube streaming features such as webcam support, but the ability to start streaming at 4K resolution at 60 FPS is a nice addition for the platform.
