Unacceptable Google ads appeared in Google Assistant

The euphoria of Black Friday deals is in the air, but Google has definitely gotten carried away: some users are (understandably) complaining about the appearance of advertisements in the Google Assistant app.

Google had already tried in the past, even directly in Google Assistant, attracting the ire of consumers, who are far from willing to find advertisements in applications pre-installed on their devices and for which in theory they are already paid by purchasing the smartphone.

Mind you, Google is not the first manufacturer to do such a thing – the examples of Samsung and Xiaomi are known to all – and it will hardly be the last, but the choice of placing advertisements directly upon activation of Google Assistant, therefore not in an app screen but in the home screen of the smartphone, it did not go down to the users.

The situation is what you see in the following screenshot and there is no denying it: it is undoubtedly annoying. On its own, the ad isn’t even exaggerated in size and doesn’t cover any other features, however, it’s not off-topic either: Big G assumes that a user using Google Assistant may be interested in buying a Nest Hub at a discounted price on the Google Store.

The fact is that not all users want to find advertisements in the home when they trivially activate the voice assistant for any reason. If Google deems these ads necessary, it could at least just place them in the app open in full screen.
