Paranoid Android is undoubtedly one of the most popular Android custom ROMs by the community and in these hours the development team announces Paranoid Android Sapphire 12 Alpha.

As soon as the Android 12 code was made available, we got to work to make it available and stable, announces the development team in the official note. To continue what we introduced with the arrival of Paranoid Android Quartz, the mineral chosen for this release is sapphire – Sapphire, in English. This beautiful mineral name will accompany us throughout the Android 12 cycle.

The team has seen fit to explain the alpha build cycle that will affect the devices supported by the Paranoid Android Sapphire 12 Alpha. Any developer who maintains the build for a given smartphone will release a variable build number that may not match those of another smartphone.

As for the features present within the alpha version, the team makes it known that some may not be supported in the beta/stable versions of the Paranoid Android; some functions are work in progress, others simply test to receive feedback from users.

Currently, the first alpha version of Paranoid Android based on Android 12 is only available for the OnePlus 8 Pro but, over time, the development team will make it available for a large number of devices including:
