According to the latest report, Tesla released an updated version of FSD Beta 10.6 of the FSD kit to some American car owners, showing that its target detection accuracy has been greatly improved. The Tesla FSD Beta is updated every two weeks.

Depending on internal performance, it is sometimes updated every few days. On December 3, US local time, Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that FSD Beta 10.6 will be launched over the weekend unless there are any major bottlenecks that will affect the performance of the kit.

Musk tweeted: FSD Beta 10.6 was released internally today. If no major problems are found, an external test will be launched in a few days. On Saturday, the company began to release it to some car owners.

In this release, Tesla engineers are mainly concerned with target detection, visibility, and improving the overall performance of the kit, especially the accuracy and predictability of target detection.

The main improvements of FSD Beta 10.6 include:

At the same time, Tesla has repeatedly stated that the speed of improvement of its supercomputer Dojo will increase. Tesla is currently slowly launching FSD Beta, an early version of its self-driving software that is currently being tested by some car owners selected by the company.

These car owners can first experience the company’s latest and most powerful semi-autonomous driving technology. At present, only some car owners with a Tesla “safety score” of 98, 99, and 100 can participate, but it may be expanded to owners with lower scores in the future.

However, the best way to participate in the program is to get a score as close as possible to 100 points. The Tesla FSD Beta version update does not increase the function of the FSD kit, enabling the vehicle to achieve fully autonomous driving. Currently, FSD Beta is still considered to be an L2 driver-assisted driving system. If the car owners participating in the test plan cannot stay focused, they may be removed from the test fleet.
