Starting today, in 22 countries and regions where Google Stadia has been launched, LG TVs running webOS 5.0/6.0 (should be 2020 and newer) can download the Stadia app through the app store, so you can play on the TV smoothly Google’s cloud gaming.
LG promised that Google Stadia and NVIDIA’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service will be available on its TVs in 2021. The former has already been implemented, while the latter has entered the testing phase in mid-November.
Through the basic account, LG TV users can try Stadia and GeForce Now for free, but the services provided by the two are different. On these LG TVs, the RTX 3080 level with an annual fee of $200 is tried, and it does not support 4K resolution cloud games.

Currently, NVIDIA only supports 4K resolution in its own Shield TV set-top box. The Google Stadia supported by LG TVs is to provide a complete “Stadia Pro” level, providing 4K cloud gaming resolution, HDR and 5.1 surround sound, after which the monthly fee is $10.
One possible advantage of Stadia is that although GeForce Now requires you to bring your own games (it uses your PC library), Google is currently conducting free, limited-time trials of games such as Control. Even if you don’t have a gamepad, you can technically play Stadia on some platforms using the touch screen of your phone- a spokesperson confirmed that Stadia’s bridge mode has entered LG TVs.
