According to the latest data from game industry research company DFC Intelligence, consumers are more inclined to Sony’s PlayStation 5 than Microsoft’s Xbox Series S|X. The company conducted a detailed survey in October-November, showing that consumers are still heavily inclined to PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

But what is interesting is that the game console members in the survey seem to have a higher evaluation of Microsoft’s online services and the current Xbox Series game library than PS5.

The research firm wrote: Given that consumers’ evaluations of the system are quite similar in most respects, this result is somewhat surprising. The main advantages of PlayStation 5 are higher perceptual graphics and performance, while Xbox’s game library and online services The evaluation is higher.

According to this new survey, 54% of consumers who do not own an Xbox Series X say they may/definitely will not buy the game console, while only 34% of consumers will not buy Sony’s next-generation game console. In the survey, when asked about non-Xbox Series X users, 26% of people said they might/definitely buy Microsoft ‘s next-generation game console, which is much lower than 42% who might buy PS5.

As for the Nintendo Switch, when it comes to price, Nintendo’s hybrid platform is in a leading position in consumer perception. 60% of respondents already have the system, and 27% of respondents who have not yet owned the Nintendo platform said they plan to buy it.

DFC continued: It can be said that the biggest problem Microsoft faces on Xbox is its indifferent desire for online services. Online services, VR, and a cool-looking system are the lowest-rated features among consumers. Price, power, and greatness Games are still the main driving factor.

Interestingly, when talking about upcoming games, consumers seem to be most interested in Sony’s God of War sequel God of War: Ragnarok and Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel.

Among the interest in new and upcoming games, the Xbox exclusive racing game Forza Horizon 5 has similar ratings to Sony’s exclusive Gran Turismo 7. The consumer interest of PlayStation 5 exclusive Horizon Forbidden West (Horizon Forbidden West) is similar to Xbox exclusive Halo Infinity. However, the sequels of God of War: Ragnarok (Sony Exclusive) and Zelda’s Breath of the Wild (Nintendo) are of the greatest interest to consumers.
