Memories are finally available to everyone on Google Photos for web browsers

The memories are a feature of Google Photos on which Big G is focusing a lot for some time and now, after the announcement from last October, are finally available for everyone in the web version of the popular service.

Introduced for the first time in 2019, the Memories are presented as highlights of the photos and videos uploaded in the same days of the previous years. Gradually, the Google Photos function has been enhanced by including, for example, the “Recent Featured Photos” and many useful tools for digging into memories.

As mentioned at the beginning, the Memories have been available for a long time only on the Google Photos mobile application but, after being announced in recent months, they were finally released also for the web browser version of the service.

The interface, as can be seen from the screenshots below, is the usual carousel one already seen on the app and with a click it allows you to expand the contents in a format similar to the stories so used on social platforms. By clicking on the arrow below, it is possible to view all the Memories of a certain group gathered, so that you can manually select the one to view.

Furthermore, in the Settings, users are allowed to choose the contents to be displayed in the Memories, hiding people and pets or dates, selecting which Creations to show and choosing which ones to see in the foreground.
