As one of the most anticipated mobile flagship SoCs in 2022, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset has just been exposed by AI Benchmark for its running scores. It is reported that Dimensity 9000 is built using a 4nm process and is regarded as a strong competitor to Qualcomm/Samsung’s ARMv9 flagship chip. According to the list of 11 SoCs shared on the AI Benchmark benchmark database, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 ranks first with a total score of 692.5. In a total of 12 sub-projects, the chip is only slightly inferior to competing products in terms of INT8 / FP16 accuracy and IN8 natural language processing.
It should be pointed out that the running scores of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung Exynos 2200 have not been added to this list. The former claims to bring four times the performance of Snapdragon 888, but it is not enough to defeat Dimensity 9000.
According to Weibo tipster, the score of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is around 560. In addition, he revealed that the two SoCs based on Samsung’s 4nm process are almost hot (MT6983 / SM8475), and TSMC’s 4nm power consumption advantage is not significant yet.
