Mozilla recently released the most popular Firefox browser extension in 2021, as well as the most innovative extension. According to Mozilla, approximately 127 million Firefox users have installed add-ons (extensions or themes), accounting for about one-third of the total number of users.
There are two most popular extensions in 2021, both of which happen to be ad blockers:
- Adblock Plus: an average of 6,134,231 users per day;
- uBlock Origin: There are an average of 5,011,974 users per day.
Divided by region, a total of 133 million users worldwide have viewed the Firefox add-on website. Among them, Chinese users rank first, while Russian users have the highest proportion of installing add-ons, reaching 60%.
The most popular theme installed by Firefox users in 2021 is Matte Black (Red).
