According to the latest report, DigiTimes recently released a paid preview report. Apple’s suppliers have started the preparations for the shipment of the new 27-inch iMac. This new Apple Silicon is equipped with a Mini LED display.
Allegedly, the quantity of this consignment is limited. There are no further details, but the report most likely refers to when the new 27-inch iMac begins production, the supplier ships individual parts to a large manufacturer for final assembly.
It is widely rumored that Apple is planning to release a new 27-inch iMac with a Mini LED display in the first half of 2022. According to display industry analyst Ross Young, the new 27-inch iMac will support ProMotion and achieve a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz for smoother content.
Twitter broke the news @dylandkt claimed that the new 27-inch iMac will use a similar design to the 24-inch iMac launched earlier this year, but with a darker color scheme. He also said that the computer will use the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips as the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. The 27-inch iMac is one of the last Intel-based Macs Apple is still selling, in addition to high-end Mac mini and Mac Pro tower desktops.
