AMD thread tearer CPU can support two-way operation, Pro 3995WX running score revealed

According to the latest report,  after the unreleased AMD thread tearer Pro 5000WX dual-way computer was exposed, the dual-way Pro 3995WX processor also appeared on the running sub-platform. This dual-channel platform has undergone a PassMark running score test. The two CPUs have a total of 128 cores, and the score of the dual-channel platform is 44% higher than that of a single CPU.

Although AMD has never announced that this series of processors will support dual-socket, the running scores exposed on December 24 undoubtedly confirmed this possibility. The following is a comparison of single-channel and dual-channel CPU running scores produced by some media. It can be seen that the two Pro 3995WXs work together to achieve a 1+1>2 effect on multiple scores, but the single-threaded performance is not significantly improved.

If this dual-socket platform is launched, it will further increase the performance upper limit of the workstation, theoretically supporting 16 memory channels, and the theoretical maximum memory can reach 4TB.

The AMD Thread Tearer 3000 series processors use a 7nm process. The PRO series flagship model 3995WX has 64 cores and 128 threads, the maximum clock frequency can reach 4.2GHz, the default TDP is 280W, and 128 PCIe 4.0 channels are supported.
