You can now pay directly from your wrist with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Samsung has added support for Google Pay to the smartwatches in the Netherlands.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 gets Google Pay support
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series consists of two watches, a regular version and a Classic version. The smartwatches feature Samsung’s new One UI Watch interface, which is based on Google’s Wear OS 3. The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have a first because they are the first smartwatches that run on Wear OS 3.
The smartwatches already had a range of apps that can be found in the Play Store, such as Google Maps, Adidas Running, Calm, Strava and Spotify. Google Pay is now added to this. With this payment service, you can pay contactless with your Android phone or smartwatch, without having to have your bank card to hand.

Google officially released the Google Pay app in the Netherlands at the end of last year. Customers of a number of banks were already able to pay with Google Pay via the mobile banking app. These banks currently offer support for Google Pay in the Netherlands: ABN AMRO, Adyen, Bitpanda, Bunq, Curve, iCard, Monese, N26, PayrNet, Revolut, Swan, Viva Wallet, Wise and ZEN.COM.
