According to a survey by game market analysis firm Newzoo, the game that Final Fantasy 14 players are most likely to also play is League of Legends. In this article, titled How to Use Gamer Audience Convergence Surveys to Enhance Marketing Strategies, the company aims to explain to clients why their data is an important need for game companies to promote their products and market strategies, and cite Two examples are the player audience overlap data of the most popular MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 and the building puzzle game Roblox.
The data shows that the overlap between Final Fantasy 14 players and League of Legends players is 17%, the highest of all. Others include Apex Legends (12%), World of Warcraft (10%), Minecraft (9%), Genshin Impact (9%) and Destiny 2 (7%). This data comes from Newzoo Expert’s analysis of player overlap data in a single month in August 2021.
For Roblox, the game with the highest degree of player overlap is undoubtedly the similar type of Minecraft, with a degree of overlap as high as 49%; considering that most Roblox players are children, the overlap The second most popular Fortnite (21%) is also not surprising. According to Newzoo, major game companies using its services will use relevant data to identify their main competitors and set performance benchmarks.
