Improve:

  • Trying to index more file locations to find important files faster in File Explorer using the search function.

Repair:

File Explorer:

  • Fixed an issue where if a user used to search in File Explorer and then explorer.exe crashed, the next attempt to search would not work.

Search:

  • Resolved an issue where the recent search popup was stuck on the screen (showing transparent except for the border).
  • Improved the resolution of app icons displayed in search results when display zoom is set to greater than 100%.

Spotlight Collection:

  • If the user is using a Spotlight collection, the current image is migrated on upgrade (if the upgraded build is Build 22523 or later).

Widget:

  • Fixed an issue where the widget panel might not display the correct resolution when hovering over an entry point on a secondary display.
  • Fixed an issue where the widget panel was temporarily blank.

Other:

  • Fixed KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bugcheck encountered by remote desktop users when trying to shut down or restart.
  • Fixed Microsoft Store prompting to try to install the latest Web Media Extension update to return error code 0x80073CFB.
  • Resolved a DWM crash that affected some users of the previous version.

Known issues:

Conventional:

  • Users may not be able to log in to some apps, such as Feedback Hub. Restarting the PC should solve the problem.
  • We are investigating reports of some users seeing the driver and firmware updates fail with error 0x8007012a in recent builds.

Start Menu:

  • In some cases, it may not be possible to enter text when searching from the Start menu or taskbar. If you encounter this problem, press WIN + R on your keyboard to launch the Run dialog, then close it.

Mission Board:

  • The taskbar sometimes flickers when switching input methods.
  • The network icon sometimes disappears from the taskbar. If this happens to you, try restarting explorer.exe using the task manager.
  • If you have multiple monitors connected to the computer and right-click the date and time on the taskbar of the primary monitor, it will crash explorer.exe.

Search:

  • The search panel may not open after clicking the search icon on the taskbar. If this happens, restart the Windows Explorer process and open the search panel again.

Set-Up:

  • When viewing a list of available Wi-Fi networks, the signal strength indicator does not reflect the correct signal strength.
  • Settings may crash when going to System > Display > HDR.
  • There is a blank entry under Bluetooth and Devices.
  • Fixing an issue affecting some users that caused settings to crash when trying to access the Installed Apps, Startup Apps, and Default Apps pages, users can temporarily use Winget as an alternative to uninstalling.

Widget:

  • Changing the alignment of the taskbar causes widget buttons to disappear from the taskbar.
  • When there are multiple monitors, the widget content on the taskbar may become out of sync across monitors.
  • When the taskbar is left-aligned, information such as temperature is not displayed, which will be fixed in a future update.

Voice Access Control:

  • Some text authoring commands, such as “select that” or “delete that”, may not work as expected in Windows applications.
  • Inaccurate recognition of some punctuation marks and symbols, such as the @ symbol.
