At CES 2022, we outlined how Samsung will contribute to solving some of the world’s most pressing environmental and sustainability issues. Collaborating to tackle microplastic pollution; helping consumers reduce energy consumption; reducing waste through the use of recycled plastic; and adapting eco-conscious packaging are some of the activities we are working on to develop a variety of activities for environmental issues and sustainable future Practical solutions.

Through its partnership with Patagonia, Samsung aims to address microplastics and promote environmental sustainability. The tech giant has also teamed up with Q CELLS to develop a new zero-energy home integration feature for SmartThings Energy, providing production and storage data from solar panels and energy storage systems to help consumers build energy self-sufficiency. Samsung SmartThings Energy has also partnered with Wattbuy in the US and Uswitch in the UK to enable its users to switch to the most cost-effective energy provider in the region.

Additionally, Samsung aims to increase the amount of recycled plastic used in its home appliances and expand its eco-packaging to global markets in 2022. For more information on Samsung’s eco-awareness initiatives, please click to visit the official press release.
