Firefox Focus on Android adds privacy protection to alleviate cross-site tracking problems

The Firefox Focus browser for Android further enhances privacy protection. Mozilla is bringing its “Total Cookie Protection” feature to the app to address cross-site tracking. This feature stores cookie in “cookie jars” for each website you visit, storing cookies separately.

This should help prevent them from tracking you around the web and obtaining data on your browsing behavior. For example details of products you search for and websites you visit, this information can be used for ad targeting and other purposes.

Mozilla calls Total Cookie Protection one of its strongest privacy protections to date and a key weapon in its long-running fight against online tracking. In June, while redesigning the browser, the group enabled the feature by default when the Firefox browser’s privacy mode was activated.

Firefox Focus’ privacy protections are enabled by default, so it makes sense to bring Total Cookie Protection” into it. Mozilla says this is the first Firefox mobile browser to offer the feature.
