Among the news coming in the coming months for the OnePlus range there is not only the top of the range OnePlus 10 Pro, already announced for the Chinese market. In fact, the company also has the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 on the launch pad (attention: the commercial name is not defined and could change before the debut). The new smartphone with Android 12 will arrive in Europe very soon and today it is at the center of a first leak that reveals several details about the project. Here are the latest updates on the OnePlus smartphone:
OnePlus Nord CE 2: New details revealed
To reveal new details on the future OnePlus Nord CE 2 is the Twitter account @TechInsiderBlog. In particular, the new leak anticipates that the smartphone will arrive in Europe in a variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. For the moment, there are no confirmations regarding further variants coming to the European market. OnePlus, in any case, should present at least a second version of the smartphone, probably with more internal memory.

It should also be noted that the new OnePlus smartphone will arrive on the market with two color variants. Users will be able to choose between the more traditional Gray Mirror version which will be joined by a version with Bahama Blue coloring. Also, in this case, the range of the smartphone could be richer, with at least one other color that, however, may not arrive in Europe or debut on the market only at a later time.
It should also be noted that the @TechInsiderBlog leak also confirms the arrival of the already announced OnePlus 10 Pro which will be available in the 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB variants and with the Emerald Forest and Volcanic Black colors, already shown on the occasion of the debut in China.
The other specifications of the new OnePlus Nord CE 2
The datasheet of the future OnePlus Nord CE 2 has already been at the center of some rumors in recent weeks. The smartphone should have a 6.4-inch diagonal display with a flat panel featuring AMOLED technology with a 90 Hz refresh rate and Full HD + resolution. To manage the operation of the smartphone there should be the SoC MediaTek Dimensity 900. The chipset will be supported, as confirmed by the new leak, by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage even if, previous rumors, also anticipate a 6/128 GB configuration and a second 12/256 GB.
Among the smartphone specifications, there will be space for a 4,500 mAh battery with 65 W fast charging (there will be no wireless charging), a fingerprint sensor under the display and a 3.5 mm audio jack. In the back we will find a triple camera with a 64 Megapixel main sensor, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2 Megapixel sensor for macros. The front camera, integrated into the display hole, will be 16 Megapixels.
On the software side, we will find Android 12 “standard”. As for the actual release date, however, the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 could be made official in February and then arrive on the market in the following weeks. The smartphone could, therefore, be marketed in advance of the top-of-the-range OnePlus 10 Pro, expected for the end of March in Europe. Further updates on the issue should arrive in the coming days.
