Samsung may announce a new generation of Galaxy Note sometime this year

Samsung’s all-time “second-half flagship” Galaxy Note will likely return sometime this year, although its biggest challenge may be finding a place in its lineup that really fits the new device. Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S21 FE, and now the company is gearing up for another big launch event, with the Galaxy S22 expected to see the sun in the first week of February.

The Galaxy S22 is clearly a key product in Samsung’s mobile strategy, but the company is proving to be gearing up for several other exciting launches. Foldable devices are currently playing a vital role in Samsung’s long-term push, but in the meantime, it looks like the Galaxy Note line could be making a comeback this year.

Samsung skipped an update to the Galaxy Note last year, and while the company at one point confirmed it might bring the model back, it never provided further information. Now, sources TechInsider have seen information on Samsung’s website about the new Note models, although for now, these are just mentions of the device.

The Note’s signature feature is stylus support, but considering that other Samsung devices already have this capability, including the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra and the company’s foldable, it’ll be interesting to see how this model differentiates itself.

Judging by Samsung’s previously released Note models, the new models will likely appear at some point in the summer, most likely at the end of August. If all goes according to plan, the device could finally be unveiled alongside the company’s new foldable, although given that we’re probably months away from the event, the details of which could change at any time.
