Windows 11/10 Teams smooth emoji delayed until February

Microsoft has been making Fluent Design (smooth design) transformation of all its applications and platforms. The software giant introduced emoji based on fluid designs in Windows 11 a few months ago, but the company wants to extend the new emoji system to apps like Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft has been hard at work adding a new fluid design-based emoji system to the Teams software. The feature was supposed to roll out to Teams users in November 2021, but for some reason, Microsoft had to delay the rollout.

Fortunately, Teams users won’t have to wait that long, as the Microsoft 365 roadmap page shows that the new emoji system will be available to Microsoft Teams users in February 2022. However, Microsoft did not provide a specific launch date.

Microsoft’s new emoji system based on smooth design has been used on platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Windows. And now by bringing it to Microsoft Teams, the company is taking a step closer to achieving consistency in design across all platforms and applications.
