Apple’s 10th-generation iPad configurations leaked

Apple will bring the iPhone 14 series in 2022, as well as iterative updates of a number of new iPad products. According to whistleblower @dylandkt, the 10th-generation iPad (tentatively called iPad 10) will be launched by the end of this year, with 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, A14 processor, 10.2-inch display and Lightning connector. This will be the last standard iPad model before a 2023 redesign.

This also means that Apple will bring a redesign to the entry-level iPad in 2023, in line with the major replacement trend of the entire iPad family. Last year, Apple released the entry-level iPad 9, equipped with the Apple-designed A13 Bionic chip, which supports functions such as character centering and original color display. The starting capacity is doubled compared to the previous generation model, but it does not support 5G networks.

The A14 chip was first launched on the iPad Air 4 and later used on Apple’s iPhone 12 series of mobile phones. The A14 Bionic chip is based on a 5nm process to shrink the transistor size, with a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and it has 11.8 billion transistors, nearly 40% more than the A13.
