IO Interactive, the developer of the Hitman series, opened a new studio in Barcelona, Spain last April, making it the third elite studio of IO Interactive. On the official website, it is officially confirmed that IOI Barcelona Studio will use IO Interactive’s own Glacier Engine to assist in the development of all current games, including “Killer”, “Project 007” and an unannounced IP.
There are rumors that this unannounced IP, codenamed Project Dragon, will be a medieval fantasy-themed RPG online game, and they sent a prototype to Microsoft in February 2021, which was approved in March 2021.
