One of the many reasons why users appreciate Android as an operating system is the great freedom of action and customization that the system grants them. This is the case of a new launcher called CoverScreen OS dedicated to the external screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. Let’s see together what it is.
CoverScreen OS expands the functionality of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 external screen
As many of you know, the functions implemented by Samsung on the external display of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 do not allow you to do much, in fact, they only offer an always-on clock, the display of notifications and some control toggles. A user of the XDA forum has recently developed and made available a launcher, called CoverScreen OS, dedicated precisely to the external display of the folding of the Korean brand.
The launcher in question aims to simulate a secondary operating system on the external display of the smartphone, adding the following features:
- Launch applications/applications menu
- Support for third-party app widgets
- Quick toggles
- Navigation gestures
- Notifications
- Active media player card
- keyboard voice support
- Led on the screen as a notification indicator
