Following the Galaxy Tab S8/S8 Ultra, Dutch technology media Let’sGoDigital once again brought a high-definition rendering of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus today. The render of the tablet is also based on many clues currently available, mainly from the information disclosed by the German media WinFuture.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ will have a 12.7-inch screen, but no notch area. The flat screen is also made of Super AM OLED material, supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and has a resolution of 2,800 x 1,752 px. The displays on all three models will support S Pen input and will enjoy Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ has exactly the same dimensions as its predecessor, 285 x 185 x 5.7 mm. Although it cannot be seen from the existing pictures, the bezels of the Galaxy Tab S8+ may be further narrowed. The screen is still made of Super AMOLED material, with a resolution of WQXGA+, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a screen brightness of 420nits, the same as the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
The fingerprint sensor is handled in the display, so you can unlock the tablet relatively quickly and easily. The Samsung Tab S8 Plus is also equipped with facial recognition technology. This new Samsung tablet runs on the Android 12 operating system combined with the One UI 4.1 user interface.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the fastest and most powerful chipset Qualcomm has ever produced. This SoC will also be used in many high-end phones for some time to come, including the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung seems to be planning to release two memory variants. The standard Plus model will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. This means that the working memory will be increased, originally 6GB. In addition to the 128GB storage variant, Samsung will also release an 8GB/256GB model. If you need more storage memory for a while, you can use a microSD memory card.
On the back, two cameras are placed. This camera system is the same for all three Tab S8 models. It’s a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 6-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Next to the dual cameras, an LED flash is also included.
Right next to the camera system, Samsung applied a black magnetic strip to which the S Pen can be attached. There is also a magnetic strip on the top of the tablet. That way, you can easily attach the stylus to the tablet so it’s not easy to lose.
