The Pixel Watch has been circling the rumor mill for several years. Now, Google’s first Wear OS watch is said to be in the final stages and only months away. Of course, once again we’re going to take this rumor as a “grain of salt” because it’s from a questionable source. Jon Prosser has had some really good leaks, but he’s also been completely off the mark quite often. Since last year, however, he has also had a run in the field of pixel hardware.
Prosser reports Friday night that there’s now a date for the Pixel Watch. It is said to be coming on May 26, according to his information. So a good year later, after he published his first leaks for the Wear OS watch, which later got a bad aftertaste.

Now we have to wait and see if the Pixel Watch really comes out in May. We definitely know that it’s in progress because of the Google source codes. The Google I/O may also take place again during the specified period. At its own developer conference last year, Google announced the huge Wear OS update that was developed with Samsung.
Fitbit could have lent a hand
Google may have waited with the Pixel Watch because the takeover of Fitbit had been in the air for some time. Fitbit could have the watch built for Google. Even if not, the massive know-how of the well-known wearable brand is certainly not a disadvantage for the first Google smartwatch. Own Fitbit watches with Wear OS are also known to be in the planning stage.
