Waiting to know the Global fate of the OnePlus 9RT, from the web we begin to learn news about OnePlus Nord 2 CE. As the brand’s growth in sales shows, the Nord family’s strategy is working. After having made itself well-liked by the community thanks to its top-of-the-range, OnePlus has well decided to broaden its expansionist aims. No longer just top of the range, indeed, with a large production of mid-range smartphones, with 6 models over two generations.

The new OnePlus Nord 2 CE, codenamed Ivan, was unveiled by the unofficial renderings, revealing itself in a design consisting of a body with a polycarbonate frame and glass back. The lines of the photographic module reproduce those seen in part on Nord 2 and series 9, as well as on Realme GT Neo 2. The colors would be two: one black and one olive green.

If we look at the display instead, we should find a 6.4 ″ Full HD + AMOLED punch-hole screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and integrated ID sensor, just like the previous model. Nothing to do, again, for the iconic Alert Slider, which remains exclusive to the main Nord models (as well as the top of the range).

Even the hardware would seem decidedly in line with the philosophy of the new generation Nord range. In fact, even for OnePlus Nord 2 CE Qualcomm would be abandoned to choose the path of MediaTek, adopting the Dimensity 900. The 6nm chip includes an octa-core CPU (2 x 2.4GHz + 6 x 2.0GHz) and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. For storage there would seem to be memory cuts from 8/12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage, this time expandable via microSD.

Moving on to the battery, in addition to a 4,500 mAh module, we would find a nice upgrade in charging, which would go from 30 to 65W. In addition, this model should introduce stereo speakers and keep the mini-jack input for headphones. The software should be directly Android 12 customized by the latest OxygenOS 12. And what about the camera? There would seem to be a 64 + 8 + 2 MP triple compartment, with an OmniVision main sensor, wide-angle and macro. The selfie camera should remain at 16 MP.

The release date of the OnePlus Nord 2 CE has remained hazy until the last few weeks, when it was rumored that the smartphone would not be presented before February 2022. And this is powered by Max Jambor, who shows us a sort of teaser of the brand where it is mentioned as the release date of February 11, 2022. In short, we are really close. For the price instead, we expect a range that always goes between € 299 and € 349, as for its predecessor.
