The latest news says that Microsoft plans to complete the feature integration by February 4, 2022. This means that the company will not be adding any new features after this date and that all the work that happens after this deadline will be devoted entirely to fixing bugs and polishing the overall experience of the operating system.

Then, the time for the configuration to complete is March 4th. An actual release date has yet to be discovered, but on the other hand, there is a chance that the update will go live for production devices in June or July.

Meanwhile, Windows 11 is still rolling out gradually to devices out there, so the update isn’t yet available for all eligible devices. In Windows 11 announcement, Microsoft said

The free upgrade to Windows 11, which begins on October 5, will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. After taking huge lessons from Windows 10, we want to make sure we give you the best possible experience. That means eligible new devices will get the upgrade first. Upgrades are then rolled out to devices on the market in stages over time, based on smart models that take into account hardware qualifications, reliability metrics, device age, and other factors that affect the upgrade experience.
