The principle is to use a specially designed ventilation system to quickly form a positive pressure zone inside the vehicle while the vehicle is running, reducing the risk of external pollutants entering the vehicle.
Previously, Tesla officially measured that Model X was in a highly polluted transparent plastic bag (the US Environmental Protection Agency defines “good” air quality as PM2. 5 up to 1000 µg/m³), close the window and switch on the “Bioweapon Defense” mode.
In less than two minutes, the HEPA air filtration system purifies the air inside the Model X cabin, reducing the pollution level from an extremely polluted 1000 µg/m³ to an extremely low level, and then purifies the outside air to reduce PM2.5 The concentration is reduced by 40%. Tesla’s “biological weapon defense” model also has important practical application significance in the current epidemic period.
