The new update focuses primarily on performance improvements and bug fixes in the area of Web Inspector, CSS, JavaScript, Web API, Media and many more. The preview builds on Safari 15.4 and includes all-new features from the macOS Monterey browser. In the release, the non-functioning tab group synchronization is mentioned again in the changelog.

The update is available via the software update function in the system settings. If you haven’t installed the preview yet but would like to try it out, you can get the version for Big Sur or Monterey from the Apple Developer website. As already mentioned, parallel use with the final version of Safari is possible.
