Also according to Apple, starting February 14th, Apple Fitness+ will bring a special 30-minute vitality workout, as well as a new “Mixed Martial Arts Champion Georges St-Pierre” Time to Walk” program. In support of Heart Month this February, Apple will also offer themed content in the App Store, Apple TV app, Apple Podcasts and Apple Books.

“We strongly believe that if you can give people information about their health, you can change their happiness trajectory,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer who leads the Apple Watch team. “Keeping your heart healthy takes a comprehensive approach — that’s what we’ve been focusing on since the first generation of Apple Watch, adding activity and exercise apps in addition to heart rate.”

Apple also shared a preliminary analysis of activity data from its Apple Heart and Exercise Study. After analyzing more than 18 million workouts recorded with Apple Watch during the pandemic, study participants relied the most on walking, cycling and running to earn challenge points, the researchers found.
