Twitter may be working on a new feature called “articles.” This format allows users to create articles or even long-form articles in the app, without being affected by Twitter’s current 280-character limit (this is a bit like Sina Weibo’s long Weibo feature).
Deadly Twitter feature watcher Jane Manchun Wong pointed out the feature on Twitter on Wednesday. A Twitter spokesperson didn’t deny this in an emailed statement, declaring that Twitter is “always looking for new ways to help people start and engage in conversations,” and that it will share more about its work soon.
