As in previous years, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will also adopt a dual-chip strategy, launching the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and its own Exynos 2200 chip in different markets.
After getting AMD’s GPU blessing, can the performance of Exynos 2200 be comparable to or even surpass that of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1? Fortunately, these two chips have already appeared in the GeekBench benchmark library, let’s take a look.
The two models being compared are the Galaxy S22 Ultra, with the SM-S908B featuring the Exynos 2200 and the SM-S908U featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen1. The benchmark scores for the two chipsets are comparable. The Snapdragon model scored 1226 in the single-core test, and the Exynos scored 1168. In the multi-core test, the Snapdragon model scored 3462 and the Exynos scored 3508.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and Samsung Exynos 2200 chip both use 4nm process, and also use 1 Cortex X2 + 3 Cortex A710 + 4 Cortex A510 design in architecture. Since the GeekBench benchmark mainly considers the CPU aspect, the difference between the two is not high. They may behave differently in terms of graphics.
