Google releases the February update for the Pixel series: here’s the news

As anticipated in recent days, the rollout of the security update of the Google Pixel series has just begun which, for the first time, also includes the brand new Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro, recently also available in Italy. The details of the February update

Google, therefore, seems to be able to solve the problems following the launch of the Pixel 6 series, which had led to numerous delays in the release of the first updates.

The update that is reaching the devices still supported, ranging from the Pixel 3a series to the Pixel 6 series, obviously includes the security patches for the month of February.

C Spire and Cellcom users who use Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will see some connectivity problems related to the two operators resolved. as regards Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, however, the correction of a bug that caused the smartphone to restart using the camera in certain situations should be reported.

Fixed, again with regard to the Pixel 6, an issue that caused audio playback to be interrupted with some Bluetooth devices and improvements to audio quality via Bluetooth have been implemented with some multimedia queues.

For all the updated devices, however, a problem was corrected that caused the keyboard to be displayed above the text, a problem that only occurred in certain circumstances. Nothing transcendental, therefore, but users who suffered from the reported bugs will finally be able to use their smartphones correctly.

How to install the update

The update is being rolled out and may take a few days to reach all affected smartphones. You can check availability for your device by going into Settings, System, Advanced, and System Update.
