Battlefield 2042 may bring the Battlefield series into a dark period, as many players worry that by the time DICE completes the restoration work, the game has been forgotten.
Last week was particularly stressful for developer DICE, with the studio announcing that the first season of Battlefield 2042 would be delayed until early summer.
In addition, in its third-quarter earnings report, EA acknowledged that Battlefield 2042 encountered several problems, but insisted that DICE would get the game back on track because DICE had fixed similar problems in the past.
Now a large number of “Battlefield” anchors and creators abroad have announced their withdrawal from the pit. For example, anchor Stodeh announced that he will not broadcast “Battlefield 2042” until the new content arrives.
Battlefield, creator Westie said he will stay away from 2042 because the game is too boring. Battlefield creator TheBrokenMachine has also quietly left the game. They choose to play other shooters or return to Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5.
A large number of players stopped playing Battlefield 2042, and many returned to Battlefield 5 or Battlefield 1, which are far more popular on Steam than Battlefield 2042.
