Although the name may be deceptive, Redmi Note 8 (2021) is the latest smartphone that is receiving the update to the new MIUI 13. Although the Redmi Note series has already reached its eleventh declination, last year Xiaomi decided to revive the famous eighth chapter with a re-edition.
A controversial choice, given the company’s notorious problem with the number of models in circulation and names that often confuse the less informed.
But name problems aside, Redmi Note 8 (2021) has started receiving the update to V13.0.2.0.SCUMIXM, therefore we are talking about MIUI 13 Global. But as in all the other updates for the Redmi series, this too would be in the Stable Beta phase, therefore initially intended for the Mi Pilot beta testers.
They will be the ones to test it and, in case they find no relevant bugs, give the green light for large-scale dissemination. But if you don’t want to wait anyway, you can download and install it manually (at your own risk):
