Hulu is working on a new 20-episode series of the beloved Emmy-winning cartoon. It will start playing in 2023. Original stars Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman will all voice the new episodes.

It’s such an honor to announce the triumphant return of Futurama once again before we were abruptly canceled again, Groening said.

Future has a turbulent history, spanning the eras of TV, DVD and streaming. The anime first aired on Fox from 1999 to 2003, returned for four DVD movies in 2008 and 2009, and then returned again on Comedy Central from 2010 to 2013.
