After the mega presentation dedicated to top-of-the-range smartphones and tablets for 2022, Samsung also has important news regarding the updates for its Galaxy Watch smartwatches. In fact, starting with Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 onwards, they will all receive up to 4 years of One UI updates designed for wearables.
To communicate this new policy for the updates of Samsung smartwatches is the brand itself, in an official note from their website. The South Korean giant has decided to start with Galaxy Watch 4 and 4 Classic to extend software support dedicated to the One UI Watch that customizes Wear OS for up to 4 years.
What does this mean? That all Samsung wearables in the making will be able to take advantage of this policy. But you have to be careful: the 4 years of updates are not definitively confirmed for all models, in the sense that it is possible that some devices may not get them in full, in fact, Samsung declares ” up to ” and it will probably be based on the price range in which they are placed.
In any case, it remains a big step forward for a sector in which Samsung believes a lot and even with good reason, given the technical upgrade that we have already seen on the Galaxy Watch 4, which just recently received a fairly important update.
