NVIDIA today released the latest Windows WHQL certified Game Ready GeForce driver version 511.79, which mainly introduces optimized support for a number of new games. In addition to Elden Ring, Death of Martha can turn on Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), and another game is also blessed with Reflex low-latency technology.
Nvidia wrote in the release notes:
The new Game Ready driver provides out-of-the-box DLSS support for games such as Ayrden’s Ring, Super Touring Car: Legends, Total War: Warhammer 3, and Death of Martha.
In addition, with this update, “Destiny 2: The Witch Queen” and the simulation racing game “iRacing” also received the blessing of NVIDIA’s Reflex low-latency technology.
As always, the new version of the driver fixes some bugs:
- Fixed an issue where the games of “Call of Duty: Pioneer” and “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” may randomly crash or have a black and white screen.
- Fixed an issue where the “Battlefield 2042” game may have color flickering on the screen.
- Fixed Corel Paint Shop Pro XI application not launching.
- Fixed G-Sync not being re-enabled via the NVIDIA Control Panel after disabling it on a compatible monitor/ TV.
- Fixed an issue where Digital Vibrance would be reset when the monitor went to sleep.
Of course, the GeForce 511.79 WHQL driver also has some unresolved issues:
- While playing Sonic All-Stars: Car Transform, players may collide while passing through water.
- RTX 30-series graphics cards may experience flickering artifacts when playing the Super Touring Car Race: Legends game.
- Dolby Atoms may lose sound when connected to an HDMI 2.1 A/V receiver.
- After the laptop is put into hibernation by closing the lid, it may cause the Windows / Ampere platform to restart
- After setting the Display Multiplexer Type to Standalone, this setting cannot be retained when rebooting/or resuming from S4 Standby.
- If the monitor contains invalid EDID information, the native resolution of the DVI / HDMI connection may not be enabled in the settings.
