Meta said in a statement that the acquisition deal has met all regulatory requirements. In November 2020, Meta announced the acquisition of Kustomer for over $1 billion. Soon the FTC sued Meta for an illegal monopoly.

The acquisition then entered a lengthy review period, but eventually, regulators gave Meta the go-ahead to complete the acquisition. Meta passed the FTC review and was also approved by the UK antitrust agency.

Kustomer develops software that helps businesses manage customer information from multiple services on one platform. Meta owns two IM software, WhatsApp and Messenger. Kustomer can help Meta to tap the earning power of the two software.

WhatsApp has signed cooperation agreements with business partners in Indonesia, India and other markets, and it is also preparing to add transfer options within the app so that users can be retained, and there is no need to switch to other platforms when users complete business processes.
