In the middle of this month, security researchers disclosed a security flaw in the Chrome browser, and there is evidence that hackers have exploited the flaw to launch attacks. This means that all Chrome browser users need to upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible. A total of 11 security issues were fixed in this month’s browser update.
Foremost among them, Google revealed, was a “use after free” vulnerability found in the Chrome browser’s Animation code. The vulnerability can cause browser crashes, or cooperate with other actions to destroy user data, implant and launch malicious code to cause all kinds of confusion. The good news is that Chrome has an update ready to patch this vulnerability (and another 10 as of mid-February 2022).
