While Microsoft says “some” games will still be playable after that date, online features for any games, such as achievements, will be discontinued, and game progress will no longer be saved to Xbox accounts.

Back in October 2017, Microsoft announced that it would stop the development of new Windows 10 Mobile phone hardware and features, with the latest security updates for the operating system released in January 2020.

Since then, Microsoft has expanded the Xbox to other more successful mobile platforms, with both iOS and Android supporting a number of Xbox Live-related services, including the ability to play cloud games through Xbox Game Pass.
