The blogging platform Tumblr now belongs to Automattic (WordPress.com, WooCommerce or Jetpack) and now wants to offer its users an option to use the platform both on the desktop and on mobile without any advertising.
How does it work? Sure: for money. A monthly subscription for 4.99 euros lets you use Tumblr without advertising breaks in the future. If you want to save something, you can also take out an annual subscription for 39.99 euros.
However, all of this is purely optional, i.e. opt-in, and of course does not necessarily have to be used. If this is something for you, you can reach the subscription option in your account settings on the desktop.
