The Steam Deck is here, at least it’s getting the first pre-orders and the press has been reporting about it for a few days. What must have surprised some: Valve brought the handheld onto the market without a blockbuster game. Is another one coming?
They didn’t want to confirm that, but Valve revealed that several games are in development. Which? Nobody wanted to say that, but since the end of 2021, a new Half-Life has been doing the rounds that could be released in 2022.
Incidentally, the Steam Deck should not be the end, Valve is planning updates and new hardware. However, there is still internal discussion about what the rhythm should look like, there is currently no clear line. But hardware has a future at Valve.
