Apple has begun to provide separate parts repair services for Face ID such as iPhone 12/13

According to the latest reports, Apple and its service partners can now repair the Face ID on the iPhone without replacing the entire phone device, able to provide customers with cheaper and more environmentally friendly device repairs means.

It was reported last week that Apple Retail Stores and Authorized Service Providers will soon receive parts of the TrueDepth Camera system, including the front-facing camera and Face ID.

In a new memo today, Apple said it has begun shipping the parts to authorized service providers and Apple Store retail stores, allowing Face ID repairs without a full-unit replacement.

Repair prices will vary by the service provider, location and equipment. The new repair program only applies to iPhone XS and later models. The first iPhone X with Face ID is not supported.

Apple says new repair options are not available in Argentina, Barbados, Bermuda, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela. The memo did not provide any timetable for when it could expand to other countries.
