Musk offers free Tesla Superchargers to people fleeing Ukraine

Tesla owners fleeing Ukraine can use its Superchargers for free in four cities bordering Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, according to a report by Electrek, which cited an email sent to local owners. This comes after Russian troops took military action against Ukraine last week.

According to the email, these chargers are available for free for both Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles in Trzebownisko in Poland, Košice in Slovakia, Miskolc in Hungary and Debrecen in Hungary.

There are about 30,000 electric vehicles on the roads of Ukraine, and millions of non-electric vehicles. The United Nations refugee agency estimated on Tuesday that some 660,000 refugees fled Ukraine after Russian troops entered the country.
