Twitter has been actively developing new features recently, including 1080p video uploads, long articles, and more. And the latest evidence suggests that Twitter will join the podcast industry.
According to new information found in the code by trusted whistleblower @Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter will add a microphone icon to the bottom bar with Podcasts written in the title bar above.
This feature has not yet been enabled, so it is unclear how Twitter will operate its podcasts. Currently, both Spotify and Apple are vigorously developing podcast content and launching paid subscriptions. Apple iPhone, Mac, HomePod, Apple Watch, and other ecological devices have supported podcasts.
Recently, news also said that Amazon and Spotify are considering bidding for podcasting service provider Audioboom.
